Michael has cemented his place in music history by creating memorable, dance-worthy, chart-topping hits for beloved artists like MC Hammer, James Brown, Chaka Khan, Mark Wahlberg, and Kerry and Berry Gordy. His collaborative work as a producer with Hammer led to the multi-platinum album, “Too Legit to Quit,” which rocketed to #2 on Billboard’s album charts, and delivered a hit single of the same name that continues to be a pop-culture phenomenon. 
Michael also co-produced the remix of “Uh Oh Here comes the Hammer,” which features R&B legend / icon, James Brown. Other noteworthy credits include his collaboration with Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky franchise, where he wrote, composed, and co-produced the perennial fan favorite, Rocky V theme song ‘Go For It.’ Michael also applied his ‘Midas Touch’ producing skills to Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch’s RIAA Gold Certified single, “The Wild Side.”  Taking his creative skills to Tokyo Japan, Michael composed, co-wrote and produced several songs, including “We Be Jumpin” for the very popular rap group, “DSK.”  Michael not only produced the single – he also performed with the group at the popular Shibuya Tokyo area club, “Club Asia,” giving him a welcomed opportunity to indulge in his unabashed love of performing.

While in Japan, he also served as a guest celebrity judge at the popular/renowned “Boxmen Night Vol 11,” a highly-regarded talent competition on Tokyo’s famous “Entertainment Island, Odiba. Known for his for vocal dexterity, the multi-platinum supergroup, B2K and 2022 Grammy-winner Jhene Aiko are among numerous celebrities who have turned to Michael for professional vocal coaching.

An astute business builder, Michael has since expanded his brand to include several diverse entities: BTK Publishing, a music publishing company with licensing for film and television; Only Global Music Group, a music production and talent agency; BeatKillahs Entertainment, a full-service music production company that includes music production, video direction, and graphic editing; and Chakra Healing Music, which, as an avid fitness GURU/ENTHUSIAST, allows him to engage in a full-spectrum physical and emotional fitness program.

BTK is a demonstrated powerhouse for generating new revenue streams, royalties and residuals in music publishing and has signed a non-exclusive licensing deal with Digital Assassin Music to publish music for film and television in the hottest major worldwide markets.  The company’s portfolio of properties is administered through ASCAP. Only Global Music Group, is a nod to Michael’s cultural heritage and LAGOS LINEAGE. The boutique firm curates work exclusively from developing artists in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and West Africa. Through this initiative, Michael fulfills his passion for helping others and giving back by coaching emerging singers for successful music collaborations with other artists around the globe. Beatkillahs boasts a music library of genres from rock to hip-hop. Several of the company’s  songs from the first released album have been  showcased exclusively on MTV, VH1, their subsidiary networks, and other channels worldwide. The Chakra Healing Music Project “MyndScapes” is Michael’s heartfelt dedication to artfully combining the power of music and healing. It aims to showcase that music has a transformative effect on all individuals, regardless of age, and can be an avenue for self-discovery and expansion of consciousness through sound. Like no other, Michael Kelly’s innovations in frequency engineering and progressive layering of sounds, continue to capture and transcend ever-changing trends, fads, and listener tastes via mixed mediums.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts in TV and Radio Broadcasting  from The California State University East Bay. In addition to his other esteemed awards, Michael is a recipient of Digital Assasin Publishing’s coveted “3/25 award” for earning 3 years of consistent aiplay on 25+ MTV networks worldwide.  He holds a number of other professional certifications in wellness and holistic growth and is a certified personal trainer A.C.E. (American Council on Exercise), and an Integrative Wellness Life Coach (IWA) with credentials and specialty certifications in nutrition, mind/body wellness, and diabetes prevention.
